Friday is everyone's favorite day of the week. (Fact or opinion?) Not only do we get to go to school, learn, and see our friends, but we also get to stay up late watching movies and sleep-in late the next morning.
I especially love Friday's because of "Lunch with Leifer," which is a special reward that my students earn by exhibiting positive behavior and by making responsible choices throughout the week. Instead of lunch in the Cafè, students return to the classroom with their lunch trays and enjoy lunch with Mrs. Leifer.
On this particular Friday, we had a special guest. The students invited Mr. Leifer to join us for lunch to thank him for sending them a postcard from his trip to Sweden. During his visit, the students asked him several questions about himself and about Sweden. It was wonderful having him dine with us for lunch and we would love for him to join us again in the future.
